I am organized! as promised, here are some before and after pictures of my house. It's maintained for 2 weeks now! I think I'll never go back to that again. I was living like a mess because my emotions were a mess. I kicked my self in the butt and got back on track. Here are the results of two LONG days of cleaning (thanks Mom for watching the boys). The results: a peaceful house and a numb leg and arm. :) Thanks for looking. Don't forget to leave a comment so I know you came by!
BEFORE #1 - THE PIANO
This was actually the top of our piano. It became a horrible drop point for everything! You can the the kitchen a little bit in the background!
AFTER #1 - THE PIANO AND LIVING ROOMOne of my tricks is to move the piano to the front area. I keep it clean because I don't' want anyone from the outside looking at a mess and it cleared up much needed room in the dinning area.

How can expect a peaceful slumber with a room like this. Lesson learned and corrected.

AFTER #2 - OUR BEDROOM
ahhhhh.....I can't wait until I paint this room!
Again, this is a major drop off zone. It was always messy and we hardly had room to eat our meals.

AFTER #3 - THE DINNING ROOM

AFTER #3 - THE DINNING ROOM
Much better, huh? Check out the clean bookcase holding actual books (GASP). It's nice to have sit down dinners again.

BEFORE #4 - UPSTAIRS BATHROOM
Not much to say on this but...I was lazy...

AFTER #4 - UPSTAIRS BATHROOM
Now I can find what I need when I need it.
BEFORE #5 - UPSTAIRS HALL
We weren't quite sure what to do with these shelves so we just stuffed them with whatever was around the upstairs that didn't quite have a home.

AFTER #5 - UPSTAIRS HALL
Much more useful.

BEFORE #6 - DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOM
Yuck

AFTER #6 - DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOM
Visitor friendly.

Oh my heck - Oh my heck - and oh my heck!!! What an AMAZING job you did Carolina!!!! I am just so impressed and your dedication and work! It is beautiful! I especially love the photos of the piano. So calming ~ There is nothing like a smooth running home and the peace that comes from it being clean!! WAY TO GO!!!! *hugs*
You did an AMAZING job!!! Your house looks so relaxing and nice!!! Maybe one day I'll get there!! Keep it up!!! Good job! Kristen
Good job on cleaning up. Don't worry, we all get that way...it only takes about 60 seconds for my house to go from nice, to gross. I love looking at the clean shots when it gets all messed up. So I can prove that it was once perfect. Now you can rest for a few minutes!
It looks fantastic. Good job getting at it. I might have to visit your blog to breath in clean because it's not here much. I've got the cleaning bug, but not the energy bug to do it all in 1-2 days. Although, I did learn that the boys really wanted to help clean if I let them use Q-tips. (Eye rolling going on.) I might have to use your success as my kick in the butt (aka inspiration) to get going. Thanks.
I am impressed....and even more so that you have kept it clean for so long. When I clean, it's trashed by the next day! Sometimes I wonder if it's really worth it!
Way to go! I so know how you feel. We are in the middle of remodeling (have been for a year) and the chaos is driving me crazy. A clean and organized home makes me feel so much lighter. I hope to see those days again! I love where you put the piano, in front of that gorgeous window! Love big windows! And your entry, so organized!! Awesome!
Thanks for visiting my blog!

Wow!! How could you do all that in two days? Did you sleep?!? Great job, it looks very comfortable and inviting, and restful.
